In this session, you’ll hear the creative ways an Echo360 administrator has increased adoption and educated users on how to use the platform in the most effective way. She will explain how she used the bell curve to identify instructors that would be likely early adopters. She will also share best practices for student promotion and collaborating with them to drive awareness. Finally, you will see how she was able to set up an accessible training sandbox, because practice makes perfect with instructors at McMaster.

Christa Morrison, Pedagogical Specialist, McMaster University (M.Phil and post-grad Journalism New Media), is a Digital Pedagogy Specialist working at the Paul R. MacPherson Institute for Leadership, Innovation, and Excellence in Teaching at McMaster University in Canada. She has extensive in-class, blended, and online instructional design and teaching experience in Journalism and Business programs. Christa facilitates workshops on Technology Enhanced Teaching and Increasing Student Interactions Online, she collaborates with subject matter experts and media specialists in the design and development of fully online and blended courses, she supports faculty members interested in identifying and implementing innovative social-collaborative pedagogical approaches, and those interested in increasing their or their students’ digital fluency. Christa has created a scenario-based blended and guided learning experience for faculty interested in making use of Echo360 as an online learning space. She draws inspiration from the diffusion of innovations theory and the technology acceptance model.
